As we enter the penultimate round of GPM, we head off to Suzuka, the set for many championship deciders in the past, and a regular Japanese testing facility. It is a unique track as it is the only one on the calendar that crosses over itself in a figure of 8 manner (and is situated opposite a fairground). It is also arguably considered to be best racetrack of the year, similar to Spa, as it features almost every type of corner available and presents the driver with a great challenge. The corner that stands out most though is the infamous 130R bend, taken at over 180mph it is a very gutsy corner and sorts the men from the boys as you need 100% commitment to keep the throttle planted while throwing your car into it. The first section of the track too also provides a good sight, with the esses flicking the cars in one direction then another in rapid succession.
