Spa Franchorchamps (more commonly known just as Spa, for ease of use) is arguably the best race on the calendar. Winding and blasting its way through the Ardennes forest, it has a great selection of corners and a very ballsy chicane known as Eau Rouge which to be fast through, you have to take in top gear at top speed. Eau Rouge is also situated in the middle of a steep dip and incline...not for the faint hearted. In addition to this, there are some very long straights and full speed sweepers at Spa so wherever the driver goes they are faced with a great challenge. If that wasn’t enough, Spa also measures in as the longest circuit on the GPM calendar which, in the variable weather conditions that hit the track frequently, can provide a tricky situation, giving one end of the track deep puddles but leaving the other completely bone dry.
