Next stop, Turkey. The most recently built track, Istanbul Park in the heart of the country, is considered by many to be a classic already. Most notable is turn 8, a very high speed quadruple apex corner that demands the most out of the car and the skill of the driver. And the rest of the track isn’t too bad either with a very long straight to provide good overtaking and a challenging mix of slow, medium and high speed corners to test all aspects of the car. In their free evenings during the race weekend, many of the team staff and drivers go to either the Bosphorus (to catch the sights) or to the capital’s many bars (to catch each other).
