Thursday
Arrival.
- The teams arrive at the track and set up in their designated garages.
- Some drivers may perform a few minor PR events but that's about it for the day's action.
Friday
Qualifying.
- This session will decide what positions the cars will start the race in.
- Over the course of an hour, each driver will have one flying lap (one chance) to set a representative time and at the end of the session, the times will be gathered together.
- The driver with the fastest laptime will start in 'pole position', the driver with the second fastest laptime will start in 2nd position and so on until all 22 places have been filled.
- To avoid congestion and drivers blocking each other, a maximum of 6 drivers are allowed on track at any given time.
- If a driver fails to complete his lap and set a time then he will be placed at the back of the grid.
- If multiple drivers fail to complete a lap then they will all be sent to the back of the grid, with their positions there being decided by the order of the teams.
Saturday
Preperation.
- There is no on track action today, simply a day of analysing the qualifying results and planning out the strategy for tomorrow.
Sunday
The Race.
- The cars line up on the grid in the positions decided by the Friday qualifying session.
- To signal the start of the race, the 5 red starting lights will light up one by one. Then there will be a short pause and the lights will all go out, signalling the start of the race.
- During the race, each driver has to make a mandatory pitstop to change their tyres and refuel.
- The driver who completes the specified number of laps first will be classified as the winner of the race, the following driver classified 2nd and so on until all 22 drivers have been classified a position.
- If a driver fails to finish the race then he will register a DNF (Did not finish) and his car will be removed from the track by the marshalls.
- If more than one driver fails to finish the race then they will be classified in the order that they retired in (i.e. the first person to retire is classified last).
- In the event of less than 10 cars finishing the race, points will still be awarded up to 10th place as normal.
- If at any time during the race weekend a driver is found guilty of causing a serious avoidable accident then they will be disqualified and stripped of their results in the race (or banned from competing in the following race, whicever seems most appropriate).
Monday
Packing Up.
- All the action for the weekend has now finished.
- The teams will pack up all their equipment and head off to the next round.
- Results will be gathered, analysed and interpreted with all the teams and drivers readjusting themselves.
