Monaco is probably the most prestigious track on the race calendar, the jewel in the crown so to speak. Winding its way round the glamorous streets of Monte Carlo, this race is a must for any self-respecting celebrity, where you can either watch the race from the other side of the crash barrier, a very expensive hotel balcony or your own private yacht in the harhour. But for the drivers, this circuit is a nightmare with no obvious overtaking opportunities and no room for error with the barriers right at the side of the track. Each lap demands 100% concentration, and it doesn’t help when this race has one of the most number of laps on the calendar. To succeed here you need to focus your energy on qualifying, because overtaking in the race is almost impossible. Get a good grid slot and you’re already half way there.
