Considered to be the ideal test track by most teams, Catalunya in Spain has a good mix of all the types or corners a driver could face, testing the chassis extensively. It also has one of the longest straights on the calendar which regularly provides good slipstreaming and overtaking. Because Catalunya is used as a test track so often, the teams usually know what the running order will be before they even arrive for the race, simply by looking at the sessions performed here in the pre-season.
