Isolated in the middle of the scorching desert, Sakhir in Bahrain provides a different background to most circuits with sand stretching out as far as you can see. Similar to Sepang, Sakhir is a very modern circuit with all the quality facilities you would expect. Normally the track here would suit strong-engined cars due to the many straights and elevation changes but with sand blowing onto the track being a problem, good grip here is vital also.
