Overview[/u]
- The championship is looking all but sewn up as Team Lucifer put in a solid qualifying performance. They only require a handful of points from Sunday's race to clinch the constructors title and with their rival teams having mixed fortunes, it's looking all but certain.
- Speaking of the rivals, Kristofer Mrazik gives Teamo a boost as he starts on pole position. His team mate however will start in 13th place, a little too low down to be of much use and provide a solid points haul. On the other hand, F1N Racing may still be in with a shout with their cars starting in 4th and 6th on the grid but they are well up against it. They would ideally need to finish 1-2 to give themselves a realistic chance in Adelaide. As for Team Pingu the title dream is looking all but over with their cars languishing down in 15th and 19th.
- Adinaldo Adauto will be getting the praise heaped on him by his Bramall team as he secures a place on the front row alongside polesitter, Kristofer Mrazik. It is a much needed boost as the team have found it hard to come by good results so far this season.
- Whizzbanger initially looked to be on form with a 1-2 performance after the first group of cars, but it proved to be a false dawn. They were outpaced by the remaining runners and eventually ended up in 14th and 18th.
The Maths[/u]
Team Lucifer currently lead the championship by 30 points. Even if they concede less than 4 points to Team Pingu then they will have won the championship. The team qualified 3rd and 8th.
Team Pingu trail by 30 points. Even if they finished 1-2 and Team Lucifer failed to score they would still be 3 points behind going into the final race. The team qualified 15th and 19th.
Teamo trail by 38 points. Even if they finished 1-2 and Team Lucifer failed to score they would still be 11 points behind going into the final race. The team qualified 1st and 13th.
F1N Racing trail by 41 points. Even if they finished 1-2 and Team Lucifer failed to score they would still be 14 points behind going into the final race. The team qualified 4th and 6th.
