Overview[/u]
- It is the Australians who have the privelidge of holding the final round of the GPM season but there is not an Australian to be seen in the top half of the grid. Thiery lines up 17th and Heppert fares one better in 16th. Instead it is Heppert's team mate, Blanc, who put in a great lap to steal pole position as the last car out. He will start the race alongside qualifying ace, Jere Opet. Locking out the front row are the PharmaOne drivers of Santo and Cederberg while Concini proves his form on his return to racing with a great 5th place.
- Although the championship has already been won by Team Lucifer, 2nd place is still hotly disputed between F1N Racing, Team Pingu and Teamo. After qualifying, F1N Racing appear to have the upper hand with Opet on the front row. Team Pingu managed to bag 8th and 15th while Teamo once again languish down the order in 14th and 18th.
- There is also a huge battle for 5th place too between Lisa F1, PharmaOne and Luftwaffe. Although at the moment Lisa F1 hold the high ground, PharmaOne look like ominous contenders with their 2nd row lockout.
- And finally, 8th place is another position that is under great competition. The final 4 teams (Bramall, VirginTR, 2Fast2Disney and Whizzbanger) are barely separable on points with just this one race remaining. 2Fast2Disney look like the favourites to take the honours with Blanc on pole position but Concini is also strategically placed in 5th. Also, if the Bramall drivers play the team game then they might be able to get both their drivers in the points. Sadly, it is the characteristic Andy Haining's VirginTR squad who looks most likely to lose out with his drivers starting in 12th and 20th.
